Leaf Guard

Why use slots?

Research reveals the most effective leaf barriers exclude leaves while still allowing water collection. Our tests proved holes are inferior to slots because holes create too much peripheral water tension. This reduces water collection and causes water to overshoot gutters. GBL provides superior water catchment using slots up to 50 times greater than the sum total cross-sectional area of downpipes.

Why use an arched barrier?

The arched barrier temporarily slows water velocity to allow sufficient time for the water to drain through the slots, even in the heaviest of downpours, while still allowing the natural elements of wind and rain to clear excess leaves.

Why use high density polyethylene (H.D.P.E)?

Traditional metal systems prove too rigid to effectively reduce leaf collection in gutters. The rigidity of the material makes installation problematic as numerous gaps emerge between the leaf barrier and any irregular-shaped roof.

The semi-rigid nature of H.D.P.E combined with its natural springing qualities offers greater installation flexibility.

The arched profile provides positive fixing into the gutter bead and back corner of the gutter. No gaps remain as bars are pressed firmly between the drainage slots and the profiled roof edge.
